This Is My New Jersey

I may be a little late getting my list to Santa this year, but I hope he knows all that has been going on lately and he’ll cut me some slack. I think I’ve been a pretty good girl this year, so hopefully I’m on the fat man’s nice list. Especially when he doesn’t need to travel very far – it’s all from New Jersey. Of course.

So what do I want? Glad you asked!

Down the Shore

The first gift on my list is from down the shore. Those trips always started with a hook shot out the sun roof into the toll plaza basket at exit 150. Even though tokens are no more, I can still get one – preserved as a keychain.

Of course there needs to be some bling on the list. Beach tags are an iconic part of doing down the shore, so why not make your beach tag your bling? I recommend you check out Jersey State Line for a wide variety of Garden State-inspired jewelry.

It’s All About Jersey Food

Santa then needs to continue down the Parkway to Cape May and pick up a box of Fralinger’s Salt Water Taffy. Of course, right now I can’t eat it because of my ongoing dental recovery (for the full drama, check out my fly fishing blog), but I need a box on standby so I can have a piece as soon as I am all healed. In the meantime, I can have a piece of their awesome fudge.

Speaking of iconic Jersey food, I need to ask Santa for something Taylor Ham-related (yup, not pork roll). I would love this TEC shirt! And if you don’t know what TEC is, you need to Google it.

And what is a TEC SPK without a hot cup of coffee!? So I definitely need to ask for a new coffee mug. One that reminds everyone that Jersey Girls Don’t Pump Gas would be just perfect! I think some of the Representatives in Trenton could use that reminder as well.

Toys, Toys, Toys…

I have some very special stuffed animals and dolls around the house and I would love to add something new to my collection. So what would be better than a Garden State plushie!

Get Out!

When I did my blog posts about the ultimate Jersey Bucket List, I mentioned my want to hike the New Jersey section of the Appalachian Trail. So I will definitely need maps and guides to traverse the 70-plus miles of the AT in NJ.
