There is nothing I love more than hearing good news from my beloved hometown – Belleville. I spent about 20 years there, in the very same house as a matter of fact, and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

This past week, the bandmates were honored with keys to Belleville during their concert at Met Life (better known as Giants) Stadium. Brothers Gerard and Mike Way and Frank Iero all grew up in Belleville. Guitarist Ray Toro is from Kearny, but we won’t hold that against him… much.
Mayor Michael Melham gave a great speech sharing the storied musical history of Belleville. As the Mayor mentioned, we have plenty of great artists, musicians, actors, and more from Belleville. I couldn’t be prouder of my town, and that includes these awesome guys. I hope they know how proud we all are of them and that they continue to share their talent with the world.
And while the world, the United States, and New Jersey may try to claim them as their own, we get to say, “yeah, they’re our guys.”
Bravo!
